AhlulBayt News Agency: Mohammad-Mahdi Imanipour, head of the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization, met with Bishop Cyril Nakonechny of Rybinsk and Danilovsky in Kazan, Russia, where he announced Iran’s upcoming hosting of the 13th round of Islam-Orthodox Christianity dialogues.
According to IRNA, during the meeting, Imanipour emphasized the success of the previous 12 rounds and reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to advancing religious discourse. He expressed hope that under the chairmanship of Metropolitan Cyril, the upcoming discussions would explore ways to strengthen the role of faith and spirituality in shaping a future multipolar world.
Addressing the significance of religion in human life, Imanipour underscored the need for a comprehensive reassessment of modern global dynamics. He noted that Iranian researchers, in collaboration with experts from eight countries, are conducting studies aimed at defining how religion and spirituality can contribute to the evolving international landscape.
Turning to geopolitical concerns, Imanipour condemned the Israeli regime’s actions in Palestine, urging adherents of divine religions to stand against what he described as genocide and the forced displacement of Palestinians.
Metropolitan Cyril echoed concerns over the challenges facing today’s world, highlighting widespread identity and moral crises. He stressed the importance of preserving spiritual and ethical values, particularly for future generations, as a means of safeguarding traditions against these evolving threats.
